The Hillsboro Fire Protection District provides fire protection and suppression to 42 sq miles of east central Jefferson County, including the City of Hillsboro. The District has an ISO rating of 6 within 5 wheel miles of the Engine Houses. The District has a second engine house located at 5750 State Road B.
The Mission Statement of the District is: It shall be the mission of the Hillsboro Fire Protection District to provide fire suppression, extinguishments and life support to all areas of the District. This mission shall be accomplished through the use of a pro-active force of firefighters, both career and volunteer, that will train in the use of all tools available in fire suppression, life support and fire prevention education to promote safety in the Fire District.

Valle Ambulance District is a public ambulance service providing 24-hour advanced life support
(ALS) emergency medical services to residents and visitors throughout southwestern Jefferson ounty, Missouri. Serving approximately 250 square miles, the district responds to more than 5,000 calls annually with highly trained paramedics and EMTs dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. In addition to emergency response, Valle Ambulance District actively supports community health, public education, injury prevention initiatives, and partnerships that enhance the quality of life for the communities it serves.
