The Hillsboro Fire Protection District provides fire protection and suppression to 42 sq miles of east central Jefferson County, including the City of Hillsboro. The District has an ISO rating of 6 within 5 wheel miles of the Engine Houses. The District has a second engine house located at 5750 State Road B.
The Mission Statement of the District is: It shall be the mission of the Hillsboro Fire Protection District to provide fire suppression, extinguishments and life support to all areas of the District. This mission shall be accomplished through the use of a pro-active force of firefighters, both career and volunteer, that will train in the use of all tools available in fire suppression, life support and fire prevention education to promote safety in the Fire District.

We are a combination fire protection district serving 14 square miles within Jefferson County, MO. The District was established by the voters in August of 2000. Fire protection for the area was previously provided by the Mapaville Fire Association.
