Scholarship Application

Dear Hillsboro High School Senior:
The Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce will be offering an academic scholarship for a deserving high school senior who will be attending College with aspirations of being a young entrepreneur. The scholarship is made possible due to the generosity of the small businesses here in the town of Hillsboro. An application is attached for you to complete for consideration of this scholarship. The deadline for the application is Friday, April 4th, 2025 and should be submitted to the Hillsboro High School Guidance Office.
Some important information regarding the Chamber Scholarship includes the following:
Applicants must be high school seniors who will be graduating from high school in 2025.
Applicants are eligible if they reside in the Hillsboro R-3 School District and attend Hillsboro High School.
The scholarship is for $500.00 to Junior, Community, Technical School or other College or University of choice.
All scholarship monies will be disbursed directly to the Junior, Community, Technical School or other College or University of choice after verification of full-time enrollment status has been received. For most colleges and universities, a full-time student is defined as being enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. If you are to be awarded the scholarship, your verification must be submitted to the Guidance Office or the Chamber of Commerce no later than September 1st, 2025 or the scholarship will be forfeited.
The deadline for application and related information to be received no later than April 4, 2025. All applications, essays, ACT/SAT scores, and high school transcripts should be submitted directly to the Hillsboro Guidance Office.
