Diligently and effectively, our region is taking action to minimize the spread of COVID-19. In accordance with recommendations from the CDC and the local Jefferson County Health Department COVID-19 We will be suspending all activities hosted by the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce through April 6th, 2020 at which time we will re-evaluate the current situation.
This will include all Chamber Board Meetings, Membership Meetings, Ribbon Cuttings and the Easter Egg Hunt. At this time, we will put all Festival Planning on hold until further notice and we will continue to monitor the situation in the days ahead. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. We encourage you to take necessary precautions to ensure the health of your family, employees and customers.
At the Chamber, we will be holding any necessary board communications remotely to ensure the health and safety of the board. We are working together to navigate this time and will be available to our members via phone and email as usual. We know these are scary times for many of our businesses and we will continue to support you and stand behind you during these times as we all navigate through this.
We have had many tough conversations with members who are scared right now. Scared for their livelihood, the health of their employees, and our community. The goal for our community is to continue to support local in ways that are safe and appropriate for them. Please remember, you’re not alone. There are thousands of business owners in this community, millions across the country facing this exact crisis. We are here to help you the best we can, as are many others in the community.
While the livelihood of the business community is always our top priority, we would ask that you are cognitive that The Chamber of Commerce is also a small non-profit business and we are facing the same uncharted territory right alongside you. By limiting exposure as recommended we believe that we will be able to return to business as usual sooner rather than later. Your safety is our priority followed by our desire to see your businesses succeed. Our Chamber Board of Directors will be actively working to find resources during this unprecedented time to increase your exposure and minimize the impact to you and your business.
